ABYA 2nd Gen Management Associate

The selected 2nd Generation Leader plays a crucial role in the ASEAN Business Youth Association (ABYA) by providing strategic direction, leadership, and support in advancing the organisation’s mission and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the current Management Executive Team and the Advisors on ABYA’s key programmes
  • Lead initiatives to promote youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable business practices within ASEAN.
  • Opportunity to experience the different functions of ABYA and posted to Management Associate leadership position in YA 2025
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, and non-profit organisations to support ABYA’s programs and initiatives.
  • Represent ABYA in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings to advocate for youth empowerment, economic development, and regional integration.

Qualifications

  • Open to all ASEAN nationality aged 18 to 28 years old
  • Proven leadership experience in youth organisations, business associations, or similar entities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Strong understanding of ASEAN’s socio-economic landscape and youth development priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in English, own Local Language (additional ASEAN languages are a plus).
  • Proactive and discipline with time management
  • Commitment: 6 months training, and 1 year posting to YA 2025 Leadership position
  • 4 to 5 hours per week

Chief Partnerships Officer

  • Strategic, Relationship-focused, Collaborative, Results-driven
  • Lead the development and execution of partnership strategies to drive growth and maximize opportunities for the association. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to advance mutual interests and achieve strategic objectives. Collaborate across departments to identify partnership opportunities and negotiate agreements that align with the association’s mission and goals. Provide leadership and guidance to the partnerships team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment focused on delivering value to all stakeholders. 
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Partnership Officer

  • Strategic Communicator, Relationship-builder, Collaborative, Results-driven
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the association and external stakeholders, including corporate partners, sponsors, and clients. Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and drive mutually beneficial outcomes. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of goals and objectives with external partners’ needs and expectations. Drive results through effective communication, negotiation, and partnership management.
  •  6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

Chief Operations Officer

  • Strategic, Operations-focused, Team-oriented, Results-driven
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events and programs, ensuring operational excellence. Lead the recruitment process for executive positions, identifying top talent and fostering a high-performing team. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operations with associational goals and objectives. Drive results through effective resource management, process optimization, and performance evaluation. Provide leadership and support to the operations team, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment focused on delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Deputy Operations Officer

  • Detail-oriented, Collaborative, Results-driven
  • Support daily operations across various functions within the association, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities. Assist in overseeing event and program logistics while also contributing to broader operational needs. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and optimize daily workflows. Drive results by implementing best practices and supporting operational excellence. Provide support and coordination to the operations team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving associational goals.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Agile Culture Manager

  • Empathetic, Conflict Resolution Specialist, Onboarding Expert, Collaborative
  • Lead the development and nurturing of an agile and inclusive culture within the association. Manage human resources matters, including conflict resolution and fostering a positive work environment. Oversee the seamless onboarding and offboarding process for incoming and outgoing executives, ensuring a smooth transition and integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR needs and promote employee engagement and well-being. 
  • 6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

Chief Marketing Officer

  • Creative, Excels in communication, Collaborative, Results-oriented
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, and events. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging and compelling content for marketing campaigns, including copywriting, design, and multimedia assets. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the marketing team, including mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Digital Engagement Strategist

  • Creative, Adaptable to changes, Detail-oriented, Possesses genuine passion for social media
  • Create, curate, and schedule compelling content across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc). Monitor social media trends and stay updated with industry best practices. Engage with our online community, respond to comments, messages, and foster meaningful interactions. Manage social media advertising campaigns when necessary. Prior experience managing an organization’s social media platforms will be good but is not a requirement.
  • 6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Digital Creative Specialist

  • Creative, Adaptable to changes, Detail-oriented, Possesses genuine passion for graphic design
  • Creativity in design creation and delivery to a high standard – please provide examples. Basic or intermediate experience of using tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator to create marketing collaterals. Strong English-language skills (both verbal and written) to meet the expectations of our content output and audience.
  • 6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

Chief Programmes Manager

  • Strategic Planner, Program Management Expert, Collaborative Leader, Results-driven
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of programs and initiatives within the association. Collaborate with stakeholders to define program objectives and ensure alignment with associational goals. Oversee the implementation of programs, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes. Provide leadership and guidance to the programs team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Drive results by effectively managing resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Projects Executive (ABYA Connect/ Discover)

  • Strategic Project Leader, Operations Collaborator, Results-oriented, Team Player
  • Lead the planning and execution of projects, working closely with the operations department to ensure seamless implementation of programs and initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Drive results by effectively managing project scope, budget, and deliverables to achieve desired outcomes. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • 6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

Chief Technology Development Officer

  • Visionary, Strategic thinker, Tech-savvy, Collaborative
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and implementation of innovative technological solutions across multiple platforms and systems. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive technological advancements and ensure seamless integration of systems, processes, and infrastructure. Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to the technology development team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Deputy Technology Development Officer

  • Strategic-minded, Analytical, Tech-savvy, Collaborative
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of technology development initiatives, leveraging analytical insights to drive innovation and efficiency. Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop customized strategies to meet organizational objectives. Provide guidance in leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of digital platforms. Prior experience managing an organization’s technological tools will be good but is not a requirement.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Innovation Strategist

  • Creative, Forward-thinking, Problem-solver, Collaborative
  • Lead the management of the association’s website and Airtable database, implementing innovative solutions to enhance user experience and streamline data management processes. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop customized strategies to meet associational objectives. Provide guidance in leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency, ensuring maximum optimization of technological tools.
  • 6 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

Chief Financial Officer

  • Analytical, Strategic, Detail-oriented, Collaborative
  • Direct the financial planning and management of the organization, leveraging analytical insights to drive decision-making and optimize financial performance. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.  Provide leadership and guidance in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Help lead the association’s accounting team to comply with rules and regulations set out by government agencies and auditing entities, ensuring transparency and integrity in financial operations. Support the development of a collaborative and results-driven finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • 1 year, at least 3 to 4 hours per week

 

Financial Architect

  • Analytical, Financial Strategist, Detail-oriented, Collaborative
  • Assist the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies. Provide support in accounting matters and reimbursement processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost-saving initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Support the CFO in driving financial stability and growth through sound  financial planning and management.
